Does anyone want a challenge? Hunt for a Harry Morgan flannel shirt!

Can anyone help me to track down a Harry Morgan flannel shirt please? DH has an old one (about 25 years) which is more like a rag now, it has been worn so much. He is adamant that the many replacements I have tried are just “not right”, so they have all ended up in the charity bag and he has returned to his original one each time - it has more holes than material now...

I am therefore trying to find a replacement but cannot find one anywhere? Are they still made does anyone know? Do they still exist?

Bizarrely enough the original tag from the shirt was still in the bottom of the drawer, so have attached a photo.

Any help appreciated!! Smile

I can't be of any help but wanted to say I'm hugely impressed with keeping the paper tag in the drawer for 25 years. 🤣

Bless you OP, tell him the world has moved on in the last 25 years and that he should blimmin well hunt it down for himself or find his own replacement.

I looks like there are not many flannel shirts around at the moment because they tend to be winter stock.

How about this,

My fil has a few things by this company and they are fabulous quality.
Sadly I don’t think you will find the exact match of the shirt but I would also echo that Lands end flannel shirts are great quality

Thank you all for your help!

Bluntness - it is scary what is in the bottom of DH’s drawers!!!Smile I don’t tend to look, to be honest, and if I have to put stuff in there just shove it on the top - but am sure you could probably put some of his t-shirts “being saved for best” still in their cellophane wrapping on a vintage site and make some money!!

Tantpoke - he is useless at finding stuff online and clothes buying - doesn’t like doing it at all - hence he wears comfortable stuff until it is in rags and then gets upset when it finally dies in the washing machine and I throw it away. I agree that I shouldn’t have to be involved in his clothes and don’t usually on principle (hence why he is currently cutting the grass in a pair of shorts with on leg down to the knee and the other mid-thigh - because they can’t be thrown away as they are comfortable and have “years of wear left in them”). However having attempted to fold the shirt up and failing as their is less shirt than holes in it now, I decided to be nice and try and find a replacement!

I will have a look at the links you have sent - thank you!

Yewtown - thank you - I am concluding that as no-one else has found a Harry Morgan link - that it isn’t just me and that they don’t actually make them or exist as a brand anymore.... will have to try again with a different brand!

I would second Orvis - they’re not cheap but very comfortable and good quality - discount vouchers and sales often available, and you can order online and return if it doesn’t meet his lordship’s exacting standards.

I should have put a Wink on my first post as it's pretty normal for all us to be shopping for our DH at some point, I tend to hide a lot of his clothes too which accidentally get lost that DH has bought and I don't like Grin

There are loads of flannel shirts on Amazon so well worth looking at those and reading the reviews.
