I had it done donkeys years ago and seemed to go on with little trouble but I've had it for 2 weeks now and seems uninfected it's shabby as I keep knocking it, first week started healing fine but it seems the scab isn't going away , I've been using sea salt water but I'm sure as a teen I just used savalon spray for piercings and it was no bother. shall I buy some of that ?

Is there a piercing studio nearby you can ask? I'm sure they'd recommend carrying on with the saline but they were great for advice after my daughter's ear piercing.

Make sure you use freshly boiled water for the sea salt solution
Tea tree oil is fantastic for helping to heal cartilage piercings and will sort out the dreaded 'bump' if it appears

You've had it donkey's years but you've had it two weeks? Confused just keep cleaning with weak salt water and leave it alone l

to clarify I had it done donkeys years ago I left it out while my kids were very young and it partly healed so I've had it redone.

I kept knocking mine while it was healing and it kept going dodgy on and off. I second tea tree oil. I soaked a cotton bud and dabbed it all over the piercing. Works a treat!

thankyou ginger I'll try that I was tempted to try sudocrem at one bit but I've heard it's a bad idea Hmm

I had mine done years ago then took it out and it healed over. I had it redone and got the dreaded 'bump'. It never healed despite using every trick in the book. Took it out and realised I look better without it.
