Rosehip oil- Anyone tried it? Any good?

Hi,

So I've been using it (cold press, organic one) for a few days and perhaps very naively, was expecting to see results by now, given all the rave reviews, but as of yet, I can't really see a difference in my skin at all.

I think I'm used to using less natural full of crappy chemicals products and am used to seeing results very quickly, which then tend to wear off after a few months.

I'm hoping this is more of a slow burner. I don't have loads of wrinkles, but my skin is just looking a bit...meh.

Anyone use this? Does it take time to kick in? Or is it yet another fad?

Thanks.

Depends what you’re using it for. I like an oil at night over my actives and moisturiser to almost ‘lock’ moisture into my skin overnight. I wouldn’t say it’s made a massive difference to my skin though. Biggest changes came from double cleansing and acid toners.
I didn’t like the smell or colour of The Ordinary’s Rosehip oil so switched to their Moroccan Argan oil and prefer that.

I’ve just started using it on top of my normal moisturiser, it’s definately made my skin softer and feels more hydrated. I’m using the Boots botanicals one.

Hmm so not exactly a wonder oil then.

It gave me massive hives, not really the effect that I was looking for. Grin

I use it and love it for eye lines, scars and dry patches. I do also recommend feeding your skin and find adding avocado and coconut oil to my diet and excluding sugar has the biggest impact on my skin.
