Confidence crisis...spring school run style

Before anyone says just wear what you feel like on the school run, I have had a very rough few months which has left my confidence in tatters... The school run still intimidates the hell out of me, the mums are so stylish & groomed & tend to be very cliquey. Since September I've been hiding behind my coat & boots but now that's spring is here I want to look stylish & groomed & feel like I fit in. Don't know where to start but I'm looking to look casual. trendy & groomed. I have a good figure size 10 so most things look ok on me, I just don't know where to start...

I find it easier to style from the shoesdown because i struggle to find stylish comfortable shoes and i walk or cycle everywhere.
Depends on style and budget the usuals are good.. hush uniqlo asos topshop boden

LadyTesticlee · 06/04/2018 09:26

Ahahaha jesus i meant from the shoes up.

Good raincoat and sunglasses, brogues or loafers?
Im not very stylish though, today I'm wearing rainbow striped high tops and a slouchy jumper. I try to help stylish but get bored and want quirky things.

How about silk blouse and vest camisole under, long cardigan and 7/8 trousers or turn up jeans?

grassnotgreener005 · 06/04/2018 09:32

Long cardi & silk blouse sounds good, I still haven't embraced the 7/8 trousers or turn ups, love my skinnies too much!

I think a long length lightweight coat/jacket. Something showerproof if you're on foot. Alternatively a coatigan like this - next

A classic trench coat and great sunglasses

peonylover22 · 06/04/2018 10:36

What about a great blazer?

You can get the skinny version of 7/8 if that's what you like. They look way better with trainers/loafers/brogues for the spring.
