Victoria's Secret bras - are they worth it?

I'm in need of some new bras post baby and have heard good things about Victoria's Secret, accurate measurements etc.
Shocked to see the price though, £60 is a lot when you need to get a few!
Are they worth it?
Thanks

In my experience they’re more for pleasure than function lol. Dh appreciates the odd set now and again but I would not trust them out.

ChilliCheeseMama · 05/04/2018 21:49

Look pretty but are bloody uncomfortable and sometimes cut weird. I have small boobs so can wear a lot of the styles they do but honestly prefer my granny Marks and Spencer sets - although sometimes they do some that are just as pretty and about 10x as comfy Grin

oreosoreosoreos · 05/04/2018 21:51

Personally I love them, the only company where I never have any issues with sizing!

Yes, they do have fancy lingerie, but also have very practical and comfortable every day stuff.

I find they wash well.

Lots of different styles though, so worth going into a store if you can and trying a load on - sales assistants are usually very helpful too.

I love them, I’ve got some of the non underwired 2 for £50 bras and they are by far the comfiest bras I have ever worn and still supportive. I hate underwire since having kids.

Bojangles33 · 05/04/2018 21:59

I love them. I bought one in America and now I can't wear anything else! I've never paid £60 for one though, except maybe my wedding bra. I get the padded t shirt bras that I think are around £25 each, they're really comfy.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/04/2018 22:11

Sign up to their mailing list as they're always doing discounts. I have 2 of their So Obsessed tshirt bras and they're great!

TrueBlue22 · 05/04/2018 22:13

Not a fan, I don't think they fit very well and have a limited size range. Measure yourself using the boob or bust calculator and then go from there, it literally changed my life and my boobs look so much better now I'm actually wearing the correct size. I usually go to bravissimo for bras.

Snowqueeny75 · 05/04/2018 22:13

Comfy, great shape and wash and wear really well for me. Def sign up for email discounts.

MybabygirlD · 06/04/2018 15:54

Thanks for the advice everyone, I'll definitely try the boob or bust calculator and see what I get!

They have a poor reputation in the industry for fit and comfort, but might work for smaller busts. Can't see how the price could be justified though. Have a look at Wacoal. My friend owns a lingerie store and wears them.

kiabella · 06/04/2018 17:13

I had a boob job in 2016 and since then they’re the only ones I’ve found that fit nicely. I wear 34DD (I think...currently pregnant so they have been put away for a while 😢) I wait for the semi annual sale and buy about 8 at a time, they go down to £10-15. I prefer the everyday/lightly lined ones to the sexier ones which I’ve found don’t fit quite as well.

Snowqueeny75 · 06/04/2018 17:32

I wear some combo of 36d, 34dd, 32dd as been going through the childbearing stage. But then, no marks and Spencer bra has ever fitted me properly ever. Prob depends on invidual shape.

MybabygirlD · 06/04/2018 20:41

I'll have a look at Wacoal thanks.
Sick of the badly fitting stuff I have from M&S

If you're anywhere near Northamptonshire, check out their factory shop.

KatharinaRosalie · 06/04/2018 21:40

Don't go there for a fitting. They tried to sell me a 34DD. I'm a 30F.

Happysbno4 · 06/04/2018 21:49

I love my Victoria Secrets bras. I got three in new York 3 years ago Front loading and they are still amazing. And so comfortable!
Look out for sales also.

LemonysSnicket · 06/04/2018 22:55

They’re very pretty but crap for my support/fitting and they lose colour very easily in the wash

DamnWhyAreAllTheUsernamesTaken · 06/04/2018 22:58

No not been great for me! Prefer Boux Avenue..

Lavalamped · 06/04/2018 23:06

Timeistight where is the factory shop in Northamptonshire please? I've not heard of it before and am interested

carrie74 · 07/04/2018 18:10

I've got small boobs and have been wearing them for years (always buy in US). I like the Body ones, so comfortable, loads of colours. Just back from latest trip and wearing new one today Grin

MybabygirlD · 13/04/2018 21:27

Ok so I looked at Boob or Bust and measured myself, it suggests I should be wearing a 30 E or F, I've actually been wearing a 36B!
Not sure if I'm in totally the wrong bra or rubbish at measuring now!

My DH got me a set from Victoria Secrets and surprisingly I love it. Very comfortable and fit well. I went in and was measured as the bra he brought was small and they were really lovely. They had a sale and I brought 2 more bras that I love- fit well and were reasonably priced £15 each.

Snog · 13/04/2018 22:00

Dd and I are both huge fans, they make bras that are both pretty and comfortable and we also love their bralettes.
The New Bond St flagship store is fab.
