Brassy hair

Hi everyone

I am looking for a little advice on how to get yellow tones out of my bleached blonde hair.

I went from box dyed dark brown to a blonde balayage style. It took a good few sessions of bleaching my hair before the bottom became light enough to be blonde but it still looks a bit yellow in places. I have already spent a fortune in the hairdressers getting it to this point so was wondering if anyone had any tips I could use at home. I have purple shampoo and conditioner which helps a little bit but not much.

Thank you

You can use toner but it is a chemical process which can further damage very processed hair. They tend to wash out quickly and can grab unpredictably.

You need a silver toner. PP is right about potentially damaging your hair though. Could you wait a few weeks? In the short term treating it and adding moisture back might make it look shiner and nicer.

An ash blonde dye always sorted mine out when i bleached my hair.

La Riche Directions toner will sort it out and won't damage the hair.

Ah, Directions is a good idea. As pp says it won't hurt in any case.

My go to is fanola no yellow and have also used the no orange for the redy tinge I had for a while and it really took the brass right out of my hair and left is cool. I always use this between appointments now, once a week usually does it.

My hairdresser put a C16 (I think) highlife on my hair followed by a vitamin C treatment and ph treatment then advised purple shampoo if it began to go yellow again ( I have intensely yellow undertones)
