How effective is this Footner malarchy thing?! I’ve got hard skin on underneath of foot and wondering if a Footner will help?

There's a thread with photo updates in Sporners corner, it's fascinating!

Mercurial123 · 05/04/2018 10:37

I think it's a bit crap it didn't remove the hard skin.

squoosh · 05/04/2018 10:40

It's best if you first give your feet a good going over with one of those black chiropody sponges to remove the really hard skin. Then use Footner for the glorious reptilian shedding.

DarkRoomDarren · 05/04/2018 10:42

I also think it’s crap. I bought it after I read so much about it on here. I did two lots as quickly as possible after one another, left them on a bit longer (per advice on here), soaked my feet every night afterwards etc. It didn’t remove any of my hard skin, it just made them peel like mad and then they were more or less exactly as they were beforehand. The only thing I can think of is that my feet were so bad to begin with that Footner wouldn’t touch them.

I’ve found the only way to get my feet soft is to use a battery powered foot file for a long time every single day. It works like a dream, but I just get too lazy and don’t bother. Also, I keep running down the batteries! My feet must be really bad Blush.

I did a cheap version so that might be the problem but rather like DarkRoom above it just peeled and the hard skin remained. A month later I've spent a week in flip flops in the sun and they are worse than ever. Back to the foot file and the expensive foot cream. At least no one will see them for months given the weather in the UK!

GuntyMcGee · 05/04/2018 20:08

I used it and it peeled really nicely, but didn't get rid of the really hard skin and was back to normal dry, cracked and gross feet 10 days later. I wouldn't bother again.
I've had better results from a decent pedicure

MrsJamin · 05/04/2018 20:15

I've used it twice now, it doesn't really have a lasting effect so I don't think I'd bother again.

goose1964 · 05/04/2018 20:32

I haven't a clue what footbeds is but I buy footmask thing from Poundland they're sachet which contain plastic sockbag thingys with moisturiser in it. They changed my cracked heel feet into soft baby soft feet.

MerryDeath · 05/04/2018 20:34

although fascinating and satisfying, ultimately pointless and v v messy Envy does not get rid of hard skin, only thx top layer of the whole foot which is mostly good stuff. have a go just for fun but it won't fix your problem.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 05/04/2018 20:35

Anyone tried the primark version? I got one pre hols then realised I didn't have time.

LizzieDarcy1907 · 05/04/2018 20:41

Hmm I was expecting miracles after the reviews on here, but it seemed to peel all the good skin and leave the hard stuff. It also looks like you've got leprosy so not something to do in summer Hmm. I haven't ever bothered doing it again.

I'm on day 6 of footner. My skin looks like scales. It is crumbling off, rather than peeling off. My heels were particularly bad, I think it might actually be a fungal problem rather than just cracked heels, but I thought I'd give footner a go first to see if I could get rid of it. I'd post a photo but I think it's a bit graphic without a warning!
