Cheaper alternative to Estée Lauder double wear

I've already tried the Revlon colour stay but it makes my face all dry and doesn't have the same coverage.

Ive just ought L'Oréal foundation stick. I don't even bother with my eldw now. It's got great coverage, lasts all day, is all creamy and glides on, is better at concealing dark circles than any specific concealer, doesn't break me out in spots and costs a tenner.

The Body Shop Matte Clay foundation is a really good alternative, but there aren't many shades. Primark also does a good 'dupe' if you can get it.

I’m wearing Revlon after wearing double wear for years. As you say, it’s not as good, it I am finding the more I am wearing it that I don’t mind it.

The loreal infallible stick lasts me all day.

I second the Rimmel 25hr lasting finish. I always find myself going back to this one, it's the only foundation that's not dry on my face.

I use revlon colourstay with Clinique all about eyes concealer. It's amazing. Better than EL.

What about L’Oreal Infallible?

I moved to max factor facefinity, 3 in 1. Very good coverage and stays on all day. Feels much lighter than EL double wear (although have never tried the lighter version of it)

I did an amazon search for best foundations and the top 3 according to customer reviews are all by max factor. OP it might be an idea to have a look at the reviews and see which would suit you best.

What's the Rimmel 25hr one like for mature skin? I'm 45 & looking for something new to try also. Tried the Revolution fast base but it was like an emollient, very very creamy, felt like I had to apply loads to get a decent finish. I do want a good coverage but without having to cake it on!

I'm 45 too and my skin is really dry. The Rimmel 25hr is the only foundation that doesn't show up dry patches on my face. It's quite dewy, medium to heavy coverage and it's buildable.
