What best to curl hair?

I have naturally curly hair but straighten it as it is more of a 80s Frizz than a nice wave which is what I would like.
I have tried using GHDs but can't seem to get a curl-or if I do manage it they drop out very quickly.
So what is best to use?
Any tips welcome

Having tried everything (including a really evil curling wand) I now use heated rollers.

I find that if my hair is properly dry I can put them in while I do my makeup and get dressed and then they are ready to take out.

I use a babyliss curl secret. Can't do it with anything else!

Try the curly girl method. There are plenty of people on here who could tell you more. I do a very basic version,in which I've swapped my shampoo and conditioner to one without sls and silicon. I won it in a competition but my frizz is much reduced and my curls more defined. There's no way I'm going back to my old shampoo
