Mine would be Collection lash surge mascara (recommended recently)!

Pixi glow tonic - love love love it
Korres shower gels - bergamot pear is especially divine

zippyswife · 05/04/2018 07:17

@stayfit it’s Ktc almond oil it’s in Superdrug online for 99p at the minute. I also use it on my hair which tames the frizz better than any of the frizz products.

TheDailyMailLovesTheEUReally · 05/04/2018 08:04

A proper skincare routine - double cleansing (if wearing make up), acid toning etc. Products don't have to be spendy but it has transformed my skin.

Biore watery essence SPF - love it as it's so light, not greasy and no white cast or 'piling' when you put makeup over it. I only wish they did it in bigger tubes and that it was available in the UK rather than having to buy from eBay and Amazon overseas.

Benton Snail Bee Essence - the only thing that solves cystic acne when I suffer from it. Like magic. I've had lots of great AB recommendations on here but this one was the best.

BagelGoesWalking · 05/04/2018 10:32

I love Benton Snail Bee Essence! The whole range is fab as well. Didn't get it via Mumsnet recommendation but Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner completely changed my skin for the better.

I enjoy following recommendations on here because my female friends of my age all live abroad and my colleagues are men, so don't have many IRL opportunities to share advice. In the past year or so, I found these very good:

  • Clinique take the day off cleansing balm
  • The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2%
  • M&S Ultimate Sleep Cream
  • Maybelline SuperStay 7 Days nail varnish in Rose Poudré
  • the importance of daily sunscreen and using it as make up primer
  • red lipstick as pick me up (although still looking for the perfect red but found Benefit They're Real Red On a good colour but not very long lasting)

I am 48 and I think my skin hasn't looked so good for a long time. When I recently acquired (following another frequent recommendation here!) an Estée Lauder Double Wear make up sample, the assistant was surprised that I wasn't wearing any make up.

Not tangle teasers! Bought two as Mumsnet had a promotion on them - then regifted them to two very grateful mumsnetters!

Bought the Collection Lash surge, but it doesn't do it for me, I found it a bit sticky and dry, so back to Maybelline's Lash Sensational (which lives up to its name!)

FabalaTheGreenGirl · 05/04/2018 18:08

All Saints Biker, Babyliss Big Hair, MUA single eyeshadows, Make Up Revolution Fortune Favours the Brave palette. I've been looking a lot more polished since I joined Mumsnet. All thanks to Penis Beaker.

Dandellion · 05/04/2018 18:33

Collection 24 Hour Concealer, it is simply the best I have ever tried and I have tried all the high end ones.

Biore Watery Essence 50+ sunscreen. Goes on like a dream, sinks in fast, zero residue.

Nip and Fab glycolic pads and Superdrug Simply Pure hydrating serum. I always had crappy skin, but now it's soft, smooth and I don't get half as many breakouts.

And a well-fitting bra courtesy of the 'bra intervention'. I've got big boobs and I'd spent all my life wearing ill-fitting, uncomfortable and unsupportive bras. It feels so good to actually wear one that fits perfectly, with no more boob spillage Blush

Should not read this thread, with my bank balance being the way it is....Wink

I'll add Nip and fab pads too. I will never be without a tub on the go (I get whichever is cheaper at Amazon on payday). Love all three types, and all show immediate results.
