DIY false nails

I'm a nail biter and have terrible nails as a result. I don't normally care too much but I'm going away on a nice holiday and I'd like decent-looking hands for once.

I hate going to salons, does anyone know of any decent shop bought false nails?

What about some acrylic extensions (not talons)? You could find someone local who comes to your house. Acrylic isn't great for your nails but it is strong and will last.

The stick on ones from Primark are excellent and only a couple of quid. The glue that comes with them isn't the best though. I buy this one from Superdrug instead.
