Hair dye reaction

I've always used Garner. On offer in Tesco 2 for £9. So bought 2 today.

Am obsessive about doing the skin test and never have a problem but tonight I've reacted. It's died down now but have attached a pic 10 mins after applying. Am not going to risk it and will contact the Company tomorrow.

But what now? Any suggestions of a milder hair dye?

I would go to a salon for your safety because the next one you try could cause a harsher reaction. They can do a skin test.

Have you dyed your hair before?

Take antihistamines.

Yes dye my hair every few months but always do the test first. Always use this brand too.

I think the company will probably tell you not to use dye anymore. I think you risk a more severe reaction next time and it’s unlikely a salon would be happy to dye your hair if you have had a reaction. Could you look into allergy testing? I stopped dying my hair about three years ago. I got anxious about allergic reactions. Had a bit of a panic attack in the salon! I’ve gone grey. Don’t miss the faff of dying or the roots but I do think o look older :/

Do you have an old box that you could compare. Might be using a new ingredient
