Had the perfect one from Reiss but it’s gone blue in the wash and cannot be salvaged.

I got a good one in a John Lewis it’s their own basic label - nice and thick so doesn’t show bra and a decent shape to the fabric. I wear it as a basic layer under a blazer for work if that helps, i.e it’s a smart look. But, it’s 3/4 sleeve so might not be what you want. Good luck!

I’ve got a nice one from Hush. Not at all clingy and quite thick material. You may need to size down if you want it more fitted though

J crew. Expensive but great quality. Wash very well and last.

Just go for an M&S essential long-sleeved tee. They are a whole £6.50 and quite thick cotton. Basic, round-neck and not so long as to be awkward to tuck in trousers, and loose enough to wear outside them.

I found the John Lewis ones thick but too short. So i guess it depends if you are tall or not. Uniqlo do a T-shirt range which is a good weight, washes well and very soft, plus a bit longer in the body.
It is difficult to get long sleeves though- so many places just do 3/4 length.

They're warm and the fit is generous: long-sleeved is long-sleeved, and they will keep your lower back covered. Also they're not going that murky colour white cotton t-shirts usually go after a few washes despite my careful sorting. If you order get more than one size to try. I'm a 14ish on top but I think mine are a 12, and I wish I'd bought a 10 (but I like a snug fit under the arms).
