What colour suit for DH if I'm wearing navy dress?

Just that really. We're going to a wedding and he needs a new suit. Is it too matchy-matchy if he goes for navy as well?

Absolutely fine, I think - you'll look very smart!

It never occurred to me to coordinate with DP, it takes me long enough to coordinate myself!!

I honestly thought it was customary for a husband to co-ordinate with his wife - the last wedding we went to, I made him wear a pink tie to match my dress! Poor DH

Navy will be fine. Otherwise maybe a dark grey?

I would go with Grey or Navy

I hate the performance of trying to find a wedding outfit as it never "feels like me" IYSWIM,. I always feel like I'm playing dress up and can't walk in heels.

It's not a thing to coordinate with your partner but I am really impressed by your DP doing such sweet thing for you.
When we were going through the wedding phase DH had 2 outfits, a dark grey lounge suit bought in the John Lewis sale and a morning coat bought second hand from Littmans and after many outings replaced by a new one for our wedding. This was in the days when he had no need for a suit for work.
Those investments really paid off for him ( us) . It's a bit harder for women but I don't believe in wearing something new at every outing. I tended to have a summer wedding outfit and a winter wedding outfit .

Dark Grey or petrol blue. If your outfit is a suit too I wouldn't have him in navy. Unless you've got vibrant different coloured accessories. Even then.
