There's a lot about, particularly ballet flats and low heel loafers. What's the opinion on here on them?

I have a couple of pairs - heels and flats. I love them

Bejazzled · 01/04/2018 23:26

Where did you buy yours quietlife ? I've been looking at cute leather loafers from next.

I like them, but they need to be understated and not too ‘orange’ if that makes sense. Also pare back detail on the rest of the outfit.

GreyGauntlet · 01/04/2018 23:57

Ok with a completely monochrome outfit. Otherwise a no no.

foodiefil · 02/04/2018 00:16

I have leopard print ankle boots and love them!

MaryPoppinsStoleMyHandbag · 02/04/2018 07:25

I like them and find that they go with loads of outfits.

DurhamDurham · 02/04/2018 07:55

I think they look good when worn with plain outfits which don't have patterns or different colours on them. Black or navy looks good with animal print.
I think it looks too busy when worn with lots of colours and prints.

Does this help you make up your mind? I've got a new black dress (bought for a funeral so originally worn with all black accessories which is not really me) and to lighten it for work I'm going to wear it with a red belt and leopard print shoes (or vice versa).

holycityzoo · 02/04/2018 11:07

I am actually bet lynch in disguiseGrin
I have leopard velvet loafers, leopard trainers, and leopard heels.
I'm always careful about the rest of my outfit usually black or understated.

Bejazzled · 02/04/2018 12:18

countfosco I love some of those - the slipper shoes and the Loewe animal print loafer in particular. They are out of my price range, can anyone recommend dupes?

These are the 2 pairs I've been looking at online, M&S and Next, thoughts?

The Loewe are lovely aren't they, out of my price range too sadly. I've now bought the Dune slippers so will see how they fit because my ankles are sometimes too narrow for slip on shoes.

Love. Have 4 pairs

littlepill · 02/04/2018 12:33

I have a pair of leopardskon wedge boots but boden and every time I wear the them i receive compliments, but I can’t help but feel it’s a middle aged a frumpy look. Sorry!

TheFirstMrsDV · 02/04/2018 15:29

I have a whole subsection of animal print footwear in my collection Blush
I like to wear them either with a. very casual outfits - ripped jeans and band tee shirts or b. very smart, simple outfits - black midi dress.

Asda were doing a very nice pair of leather court shoes with a mid heel for £20. (I bought some).
I also got a lovely pair of ankle boots for £10 in a sale there a while back. They are not leather but I don't care. They are incredibly wearable.

CaseStudyResearch · 02/04/2018 15:43

I have a pair of leopard print loafers that I bought last year from River Island and have nearly worn to death. Won't chuck them till I find a decent replacement.

Have ordered some from Next so will see.

EleanorRobinson · 02/04/2018 15:49

Depends if the comparison between you and Theresa May is one you wish to invite.
Me? No thank you!

BubblesBubblesBubbles · 02/04/2018 18:25

I have a small heeled pair from peacocks (£3 in the sale) and wear them with skinny jeans and a over sized plain jumper! Always get loads of compliments on them.

Have to admit they are the only pair I own.
