Erring on the side of caution I would say no as there is a good chance they would look like a flower girl.

ScattyCharly · 01/04/2018 21:42

Yes agree they may look like part of the wedding party.

Plenty of people who are pissed off their little DC weren't chosen as bridesmaids or flower girls then deliberately dress them to look as though they are. Be wary of doing that by accident!

The rule about wearing white is to not upstage the bride, so I don't think anyone w would be mistaking your little one for the bride! I'm sure it will be fine, I'm always amazed at the lack of colours available for occasion dresses for little ones.

Oh for goodness sake. All this angst on here about what can and cannot be worn to a wedding! A 3 year old can wear a white dress to a wedding - of course she can. She will look sweet and it tbh probably won't stay white for long!

GuntyMcGee · 01/04/2018 21:47

Despite the fact that it is quite a common trend to have little ones in white outfits/dresses in the wedding party, my main though my on reading the OP is why in hell do you want to put a 3 yr old in a white dress!?!?!!!!

It won't stay white for long.

Surely you can find something more suitable and not bridesmaidy?

LIZS · 01/04/2018 21:49

As long as not too bridesmaidy. Do you have anything in mind?

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 01/04/2018 21:54

Could you accessorise it with another colour? Bright yellow, cerise or red? Matching shoes and cardi?

upsideup · 01/04/2018 21:55

She has already has white dress (only dress she owns), its not bridesmaidy and has little red and navy stripes around the bottom
