Calgel/Orly Gel Nails

I've been getting Orly Gel Nails, however they would only last a week or so before they started to lift. Got Calgel nails last Saturday and they've started to lift at the base of the nail today. I got Calgel as I heard it should last up to three weeks! Any idea what I'm doing wrong??

Do you get your hands wet a lot or prolonged soaking in water, or do you have greasy skin? both can cause gels/acrylics to lift.

What’s the prep like?
Cuticles throughly removed from the nail?
Cleansed properly with and appropriate cleanser?
Gel applied to nail only (as opppsed to ‘flooding’ the cuticles?
I’ve been a beauty therapist for 12 years and only very rarely come across someone who’s nails just don’t agree with gel.
Generally speaking, it’s often poor prep that causes lifting.

Prep is good, well I think so, usually push cuticles down, file and buff nails.

Nails never in water for long periods, I wear gloves to do the washing up and I don't think my skin is greasy.

I'll ask at my next appointment to see if there is anything they can do differently.
