Look Fabulous Forever Makeup???

user1955 · 01/04/2018 18:03

Has anyone tried Look Fabulous Forever makeup? It's aimed at "older women" and claims to be formulated for older skin. I quite like the look of the makeup in the transformations, but can it really be that different to high street brands?

Hopeful bump.

I've used it (I'm 60). I like the company ethos and think the founder seems pretty amazing, but I didn't love the makeup. The foundation I just couldn't get a colour match and it seemed to settle in all my pores (and I have have pretty good skin for my age). The eyemake up was fine. But simply that. No better or worse than high street I'd have said. Lipstick - again, just fine. Not a huge range of colours and still tended to feather and didn't have great longevity. A lot of mine was a gift, and I used it up but wouldn't re-buy. The only product I actively like was the cream to powder blusher.

Thank you. The transformations are just the sort of look I'd like, but I've always struggled with colour matching foundation so I'll stick to trying on the high street. I WANT to like their products and was impressed by their website, but when i loaded the basket with the products from the one i liked it came to almost £200. Shock

I really enjoy their make overs, but I suspect it's about skill of application rather than the product per se.

I have tried a few of their products. I am cool toned and I really love their pink blusher as I struggle to find one that has no brown in it at all normally.

I didn't get on with the foundation or primer and gave them away (but I have never found anything better than Mac Face and Body and I should have known better than to bother!). The eye shadows (and eye primer) are good, and I use the aubergine one fairly often with my Naked Basic palette. The brow pen is nowhere near as good as my Suqqu one.

I haven't tried the lipsticks but they look good!

I have tried the lipsticks and really disliked them. They have a high moisture content I think, when I opened them they had moisture droplets in them which was off putting. Application wasn’t great, they had too much slip, moved around the lip.

The silver eye sheen thing was nothing special either. The lip primer was okay, but I would not repurchase.

It feels like a cheap range which belies the prices. It’s a no from me.

Look Fabulous Forever make up is wonderful. I have used their products for several years now. I especially like the face prime. Makes your face feel silky.
The tutorials are fun to watch.
