Best gradual tan

I have extremely pale skin and I am finding it hard to find a tan that doesn’t make me look orange. I have tried dove, Garnier, clarins drops etc and all leave me orange hued! Anyone have any success with a gradual tan?

My absolute favourite by far is the St tropez gradual tan cream (white tube black lid) and I buy it in the dark.
I see a difference after one application and if I'm going on a night out I only need to use it twice. It gives a very natural, beautiful olive colour, I always get complimented when I wear it.
I dislike any other st tropez product tbh, and I've used so, so many different types of gradual and instant tans over the years and this one always comes out on top. So easy to apply, doesn't streak at all and dries super fast.
If you like I can post a pic so you can see colour?

I have tried st tropez in the past and never got on with it so I never bothered trying the gradual one. Thank you, I’ll will check this one out!

Second the st tropez gradual tan. Really natural. I use the tinted version so I can see where I'm putting it!

Delatron · 01/04/2018 17:10

Oh and I'm pale too. Tried Dove, Garnier but they were too orange. This is a more natural
colour.

faintlinesquints · 01/04/2018 17:12

It's so different to the other st tropez products, I just think the colour is so much nicer too.

TacoFlavouredKisses · 01/04/2018 17:19

I'm super pale too, I use the St Tropez gradual mousse and love it.

Excuse the really dodgy edit, but this is after 2 uses of the st tropez gradual tan.. im usually super pale!

wellshouldistayorshouldigo That’s exactly what I’m after, looks so natural and glowy.
Do you all exfoliate before putting the tan on? I always end up with orange knees and feet Easter Angry

Oops name fail! (Faintlinesquints)
TBH I am really lazy at exfoliating, but the st tropez is really forgiving.
That night I jumped in the shower the night before and shaved, slopped on the gradual tan (I use a mitt so my hands don't do dark) give it 15 mins and go to bed. Another shower in the morning and slopped some more on and that was me for the night, easy peasy!

Superdrug have buy one get one half price on st tropez atm,

Is this it ? I’m looking for a good fake tan.

dragonwarrior · 01/04/2018 19:27

What about Bondi Sands, not the gradual tan but the mousse? In light medium you leave it on for 1-6 hours and then wash it off. Leave it on for half hour and then wash that off?

wellshouldistayorshouldigo · 01/04/2018 20:25

That's is @tay, I use the dark though.

Chicinwellies · 01/04/2018 22:12

No to bondi sands! Dreadful.
Have to agree re the st t gradual tan, I also like the gradual than in the gold/bronze tube with black lid, think it’s marketed as a
4in1 or something, but either way a lovely tone and very little hassle.

dragonwarrior · 06/04/2018 19:46

That's interesting Chic, why don't you like it? It leaves me streak free and a completely natural colour whereas so many turn me orange or streaky! Perhaps it reacts on different ways to each of our skin types?

Lucked · 06/04/2018 20:33

I am very pale and the best advice I have had (from mumsnet) was that the gradual tanners for paler skins are more orange than the darker ones which are browner. I switched from Dove for pale skin to the medium to dark skin tanner and get a lovely colour from 2 applications.

If you haven’t tried the darker one give it a go, it’s really cheap.
