The pattern on this coat...

This is a lovely spring weight coat tgat I bought a few years ago. Almost a car coat shap, fits me well. I wore it a few times until dh said "I didn't think you liked snake skin prints" . Then snake skin was all I could see! I don't know how I didn't see it when I bought the coat. But two children in childcare and part time hours is making me look again at wearing it! Please tell me honestly if it is ok? Or will I be mistaken for an aging rock star from behind?

I honestly don't see snake print at all. I see a geometric pattern, slight 20s look to it. Snake pattern is more fluid, the pattern on the coat is defined.

If you search geometric jacquard coat, loads of coats like yours come up. No mention of snake associated with any of them!

I have a similar cost and also a pair of curtains with similar print . Described as 'icat' print by John Lewis whatever that may be. But snakeskin it is not

I can't see snake skin there at all. Not a bit of it.
