The outfit with the tan bag....

Not another M&S bashing thread. Most high street shops sells crap. There's a lot worse out there than that bag.

calzone · 30/03/2018 22:56

Truly shocking

SleepingStandingUp · 30/03/2018 22:57

The bag is fine but what os the model wearing?

DangerEgg · 30/03/2018 23:01

The bg is fine ITS THE OUTFIT!

DP bought me vouchers for my birthday £75 worth, I'm weeping as apart from jeans, its all so foul. I have so many hobbies, lazy fucker, his sister loves M&S but I don't shop there!

This outfit reminds me why.

DangerEgg Spend it on food.
Some of the skincare products are highly rated too, and personally I like M and S's greeting/thank you cards. Buy I could easily spend £75 on iced and spiced buns.

LockedOutOfMN · 30/03/2018 23:05

Oops sorry thought you'd said the vouchers were from DF (forgivable), not DP (unforgivable). Any food purchases must not be shared with DP.

It is my 50th, I wanted something that said 'for my amazing 50th'

I have jewellery, shoes, sandals, clothes, skincare.

I actually wanted either a running watch or a sewing machine.

Lazy fucker.

Still hunting, a good bag might suffice.

The outfit with the black bag is just so blah!
OP spend your vouchers in the beauty section online and in the food hall.

MiniAlphaBravo · 30/03/2018 23:11

Omg! Making a young and beautiful model look that bad is quite a feat! The bag is ok. I would spend it on beauty products, couldn’t find any clothes when I looked recently

LockedOutOfMN · 30/03/2018 23:12

That's harsh. Can you do some food shopping 'for the family' then spend what you save on a running watch?

pestilentialboundary · 30/03/2018 23:14

Sell the vouchers to DP's sister and go buy a sports watch.

JaneEyre70 · 30/03/2018 23:15

They have really got it right with their beauty range.... some fab perfumes, wide range of hair stuff etc and their make up great. It's just the clothing department that needs the overhaul. I looked round it on Thursday and walked out in utter horror........ I don't think I'd be able to spend £75 in there to be fair.

stellenbosch · 30/03/2018 23:18

Buy your weekly shop there with your vouchers and then use your weekly shop money to buy what you want from wherever you want?

lovemylover · 30/03/2018 23:30

Have you noticed that a lot of M&S stuff is made in Bangladesh,

Yes, genius!!!!!!! Either or......!

I remember 'St Michael', made in GB was a selling point. Anyway, you knew it was better quality than the 'High street' almost on a par with high end stuff from Jaegar, would last forever too.

OP posts:
pestilentialboundary · 30/03/2018 23:50

I remember DF having two jumpers one M&S one Jaeger, they were identical. Most stuff made in UK a small amount in Israel. Now the quality and factories used are probably identical to Primark or Matalan. A sad race to the bottom.

CountFosco · 31/03/2018 00:30

The cashmere is OK if basic and not really what you want for your 50th. Definitely sell to SIL and use the cash to buy what you want.

MiniAlphaBravo · 31/03/2018 06:24

lovemylover I believe the factories they use in Bangladesh are the better sort. It does provide work for people there and they are not sweat shops. M&s used to be all british made but they couldn’t compete on price and decided to move to overseas factories, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka mainly.

HuskyMcClusky · 31/03/2018 06:35

😲 Is that a contraceptive or an outfit?!

scrivette · 31/03/2018 07:01

Sometimes some of their shoes are nice.

HuskyMcClusky · 31/03/2018 07:29

Ringing endorsement there, scrivette! Grin

Gwynfluff · 31/03/2018 07:34

Name me a high street shop that aims at the mass market that has kept it's prices high? There isn’t one as people just don’t spend that way on clothing anymore and M&S have had to follow suit.

sportyfool · 31/03/2018 07:47

Their cigarette trousers are supposed to be nice .
