I need a good Mac for spring, what do you all think of this?

Does anyone have it? They don't seem to show reviews on topshop a website these days unfortunately 😏

I really like it

dollyknocker · 30/03/2018 21:16

The sleeves would drive me crazy. You'd get soggy arms!

ToftheB · 30/03/2018 21:16

I like it.... but it would look very grubby if I wore it for more than 10 mins.

LunaTheCat · 30/03/2018 21:18

It is lovely but on the model the sleeves are quite short which may be an issue if it’s absolutely p-ss-ng down. The model may have super long arms though - models being different species.

I agree about the sleeves.

LockedOutOfMN · 30/03/2018 23:43

Agree with previous posters. It's a pretty coat but those sleeves are odd.

Lifeaback · 30/03/2018 23:44

I love it, I didn't notice the sleeves at first but now can't stop staring at them

Happyland8 · 31/03/2018 08:11

Oh good point about the sleeves. I somehow hadn't noticed 🙈

That's fabulous! The sleeves I presume allow it to be worn in the relatively warmer season and I think that's a bonus. I only want to keep my clothes and hair dry in warmer months and often feel trapped in sweaty rain coats.

A few details don't work at all for me (hemline & cuff design) but I do love the buttons, black zipper lining and the drawstrings (& the fact that the little metal thing around them is also black). Good pockets. Not sure if I like the inconsistent black piping. Dealbreaker would be the sleeves - from the pic w/o model, looks like they've done one rolled cuff and one non-rolled, so it looks like they're really not very long.
Good you can machine wash it too, but then you don't want to be flashing fluo white either so an off-white tinge after a while wouldn't be so bad, and unnoticeable in the street so wouldn't be read as 'grubby'.

Personally can't get past the cuffs and hemline, and think generally the sleeves are impractical like PP said.
But it is nice! I like the 60s feel & tbh I'd probably compliment the person if I saw it worn IRL, am just being picky.

Happyland8 · 31/03/2018 09:58

I've just tried it on, sleeves must be rolled up in the pic online.

Its nicer on you than on the model. On the website it reminded me of Daryl Hannah's character in Kill Bill.
