How can I have great brows on holiday?? HD?

Hi all,
I'm off on holiday with my new boyfriend soon, and don't want to have to spend ages pencilling on my brows, plus we're going somewhere really hot so they're likely to smudge/melt anyway.
What's the solution - would HD brows work? I've never had anything done like this. Does the makeup on HD last beyond a few days?

Yes

Probably the best way.

Go to a reputable company though or you may get sharpie ones!! 😢

How long until you go? I had mine microbladed last year and they looked amazing on holiday.

tigerbear · 30/03/2018 21:16

I'm getting them done next Wednesday, and go on holiday on the 9th. I thought with microblading that you have to wait for 4 weeks for scarring to go?

That wouldn't be enough time. Sorry I have never had HD brows so can't advise.

We are going on holiday next week too. Have a great time!

Thanks Dextro, you too!

Waterproof eyebrow pencil

I have seen many dodgy microblade (semi perm tattoo) eyebrows

sourpatchkid · 30/03/2018 21:50

I'd just go for a normal tint, I found HD brows a bit too intense myself

WeeMadArthur · 30/03/2018 21:54

Just a normal shape and tint, with eyelash tint as well. Will easily last for two weeks holiday, plus it’s quick and cheap

Lallypopstick · 30/03/2018 21:55

I get HD and they don't last too long for me. The make up washes off the same day, and the tiny maybe lasts a week. However they are easy to fill in with a pencil.

tigerbear · 30/03/2018 22:18

Oh, that's disappointing re the HD. My mum has booked me an appointment at her local salon, and I think it's HD. So what do they actually do for the money, if the makeup comes off the same day?

They do tint them and then do a lot of waxing and threading. The make up they use is powder and a brow pencil so it comes off when you wash your face.

Yours may look better than mine though as I have really overplucked brows. That's why I have to pencil them in.

clumsyduck · 30/03/2018 22:22

I dye mine myself ( get a shade that is near to your natural colour !!) it catches all the fine hairs which gives you more to "play" with when plucking . and then pluck them to shape . Job done

calzone · 30/03/2018 22:53

Just use a sharpie and be done with it!!

WeeMadArthur · 31/03/2018 09:40

Oh clumsyduck where do you get the dye from, I wouldn’t mind doing mine at home

violetbunny · 31/03/2018 10:11

Yes to waterproof brow pencil. Try Bobbi brown or Chanel.

I use this one @WeeMadArthur

tigerbear · 31/03/2018 10:23

Thanks for the recommendations everyone, I'll see how the tint or HD turns out at the salon and have a few back ups with pencil just in case. The Maybelline one I already use is quite good - powder at one end, waxy pencil at the other.

I think this particular one was is it savers maybe it's called ? like a discount beauty shop . Also get it in boots , super drug etc . Maybe test a small bit first to make sure colour is ok . Just find it catches all the finer hairs so they look fuller and are easier to shape
