Wedding guest outfit - white blouse

So is it ok to wear a white sleeveless blouse to a wedding? I'm thinking of teaming it with a light grey skirt and it looks really fresh and pretty but I'm worrying about how light it is. Should I just avoid and team it with a black blouse instead? But I'm sure you're not meant to wear black to a wedding...
Sigh.. i have to brave the shops again don't I?!

It sounds fine in principle, but it's hard to tell without knowing style of skirt etc. Do you have any pictures?

So it's this skirt and blouse together tucked into the waist band the skirt is a bit lighter in real life tho

Being honest, that outfit says "drink after work" rather than "wedding" to me. It's a bit too casual and a bit too plain to work for a wedding.

I think it would be fine for a casual wedding, but not for a formal one. I don't think that a suede skirt is particularly smart, although I wish I was slim again so I could wear it

Agree with the others sorry. It looks very work wear or smart casual to me.

I agree with previous posters. And you’re not supposed to wear white to a wedding either. If I was you, I would find a pastel coloured dress instead that’s more wedding appropriate. But the skirt and top are really nice so I would keep them for another occasion.

Thanks for the advice, I guess it is more of a casual wedding and it seems every dress on me at the moment makes me look frumpy. I'd rather look smart and fresh than something a bit fussy (I'm not great with dresses/prints at best of times!) I've found a sky blue blouse with a floral print. Think I'll wear that

Thanks again!
