My trusty ghd air has just died on me....and I have just got out of the shower with soaking wet hairSad how can I dry it now without a blow dryer? Stressing because I need to leave the house in a couple of hours!

Neighbour? V fast Amazon delivery in 2 hrs?
I thought that those hair dryers were supposed to last?!?

Do an intense towel dry and keep rubbing it
How long does it normally take o air dry it?

BetterEatCheese · 30/03/2018 06:54

Sounds odd but try a bit of head banging! Works wonders! Seriously, this is how I dry mine if I don't have a dryer, it gets a lot of the water out and kind of straightens it

Nip to a supermarket?
Lots of towel drying and moving the hair about should do a lot also in front of a heater should speed things up :)

LadyTesticlee · 30/03/2018 06:58

use a micro fibre cloth if you have. wring hair in several towels and t shirts. I second head banging.and leave it to air down not in a bun or tied up.

I know! To be fair I have had it since 2013 so I’m not too fussed that it’s dead. It had a decent run, but I have no idea how I’ll dry my hair this morning!

Don’t think I can get a delivery until tomorrow as it’s a bank holiday!

My hair takes ages to air dry. Currently attacking it with towels wish me luck

Squeeze out as much as you can with towels, then go for a drive with the heating on full blast towards your head and a lot of head shaking/hair ruffling! Says the bitter voice of experience...

Just checked for you re: Amazon Prime. Same day delivery is 6-10pm today. Too late for you going out but would mean you habe a replacement today, I guess?

Astrid2 · 30/03/2018 07:15

I would just tie it back and run to supermarket for a replacement pronto. I have seriously thick hair and could manage without my hairdryer!

Astrid2 · 30/03/2018 07:19

*couldnt manage

snozzlemaid · 30/03/2018 07:20

Do you have one of those small fan heaters?
We've got one on our bathroom wall and I stood under ours once in a 'hairdryer not working' emergency.

Wh0KnowsWhereTheT1meG0es · 30/03/2018 07:21

Why can't you go out with it still a bit wet?

Camdenlife33 · 30/03/2018 07:51

Thanks all for the advice!! Managed to get it dry thanks to a microfibre cloth and a lot of head shaking. Still a bit damp in the back but passable!

Today I realised that I cannot cope without a hair dryer. Already placed an order for a new one

I was going to suggest a car heater if you have one. Sit in the car and blast it with the warm setting.
