Do I need a primer or a better foundation?

... I can’t seem to get it to stay on my face! Any recommendations? (For ‘normal’ pale/med skin)

Primer. I like No. 7 Airbrush Away.

I didn't know this until last week but you need your primer and foundation to be the same sort of formula so if you have water based foundation you need a water based primer and if its silicone you need silicone. I'm yet to put this to the test though!

So if I use true match. What kind of primer do I need?

I think more foundations are oil based than water based, so an oil based primer is a safer bet. I would ask the specialist on the L'Oréal counter in your local Boots or department store.
