(Another) all saints leather jackets: sizing and style for petite

I know all saints leather jackets are very popular on mumsnet and would like your collective wisdom. I bought my last leather jacket from whistles in 1991 and would like a new one! I am 60, petite ( 5'1 and size 10 bust 34). I have narrowed it down to bales, balfern and conroy ( I think!).

Would the Bales collar done up be too chunky do you think? How cropped are They Really? What colour? Was thinking navy possibly as black is a bit harsh but of course it's very classic. What do you all think?

I’m 5ft, usually a size 8, 30DD and the Bales in a size 6 is perfect.

I have the Bales and Papin Pain in size 6 and the Lewin in size 8. I'm 5'1 and size 8, but the 2 size 6 jackets fit best in terms of length, the Lewin is just a bit too long

Thank you! That sounds like a size 8 might be okay. What's the Bales collar like?

I had the bales and found it too long , I have the papin now which is much better . The sleeves aren't too long and I'm 5 foot . I got the size 10 and I'm a 10-12 . I would Size down .

The Bales collar isn't at all chunky, it folds down neatly without the buckles getting in the way. I'd agree with sizing down if at all possible.
