Anyone needing a makeover!

Hi,

Just got out of a really difficult relationship and feeling quite drab and low. I look ok when out, which I rarely do, but want to look more stylish rather than comfy during day to day life. Leggings or jeans that seem to fall too low are my uniform, hair with roots a bit white, no makeup. I need to give myself a makeover. Even my ex said, in an argument, that I didn’t make an effort with myself like I was pre kids.

I feel like I’ve lost my pizzazz! Where do I start.....I want to be a yummy mummy! Anyone achieved this....

Ha! Nope!

I am up for a (budget) makeover / mumsnet style “princessing” thread! Though, in my case, jeans and leggings would be a step up from throwing on whichever of my tops I can find which is the least milk-soaked and pairing with some stylish pj bottoms* (having some slight oversupply / leaky boob issues - breastfeeding yay)!

I am planning a shopping trip this weekend to get a few bits which fit well. My baby (dc2) is only 2mo and my figure is far from what it was pre dc1, so I’m struggling to find wearable clothes in my wardrobe. I’m going to try and build a cheap, capsule wardrobe to tide me over till I can lose a little of my excess chub.

*I do not wear my pjs out of the house I swear - not that bad... yet

PS: your ex sounds like a twunt
