Hi I have naturally brown hair (with some silvery greys sprouting through) and have always had highlights. The thing is I feel my hair has too many highlights now so brown roots really notice in between. I have a mixture of blonde and brown for this reason. Last time I asked for one blonde to every brown foil but my hairdresser (who I'm fairly happy with) said that would be too dark so did 2 blonde to 1 brown. Now it's too light!
I'm getting my hair cut in a couple of weeks so thinking to ask for a few dark brown fouls through to break it up a bit. Will this work?

That could work or you could ask for a demi permanent gloss over the top to bring it down a little?

Thanks for replying, I feel I do need some darker put in just to break it up a bit.

I've had darker put in to break up over-highlighted hair before (over highlighted as in too many). It worked absolutely fine.

Great thanks I was a bit worried it might look like blonde hair with low lights when really I wanted brown hair with highlights Hmm
