M&S don't seem to sell many thongs these days

and I like them
All big pants to go with their bras.

Anyone else noticed this?

I don't care if they are fashionable and I can guarantee you my arse looks as big as it does with a big pant or no pant at all. Being large of arse I find them comfortable and I find the leg opening digs in in a normal brief. And yes to bigger pants being eaten up by arse cheeks.

Also as Alan Partridge would say 'it's also for hygiene purposes.... it lets the buttocks breathe' Grin

HuskyMcClusky · 28/03/2018 01:42

I don’t understand thongs. Can someone please explain? (Genuine)

They are literally up your arse, no? How can a piece of material rubbing up against your bumhole be comfortable? Confused

MayFayner · 28/03/2018 01:45

I don't wear thongs anymore (since dc 2&3... I won't go into detail) but ffs. The OP isn't asking for an analysis of her knicker choices.

We can all wear whatever pants we want!

MelonKim · 28/03/2018 06:05

why are you all on here telling me you don’t wear them?. I don’t care!

You lot wearvyour hideous huge pants. I love them. I want to know where to get nice ones. Not multipacks.

MelonKim.... I AGREE, we don't all like granny pants.
I onky wear matching sets of lingerie, I don't wear knickers that come in packs.
I want the choice when I buy a new bra to have a matching thong and/or another style knicker.
I am a bit obsessed with lingerie :)
So recently had good buys in Victoria secrets and best of all... They had three different thongs that all coordinated with the bra I bought,so I can wear matching set for three days.
It was expensive compared to m and s but the bra was fab, I am quite busty, and it had deep sides with side boning, so no overspill and was pretty, sexy and comfortable... Miracles.
I also have recently discovered rigby and pellor... Again a bit crunchy on the credit card but OMG.. Fit, fabrics and thongs all amazing.
And finally this week bought brilliant non padded white bra from tesco with matching thong.. Pretty, fresh cotton, not too girly or bridal...
And I am in my early 50's...so Victoria secrets not just for teens...

I buy their micro fibre ones . I think they are £12 for 3 it 5. Primark have tables if pretty g strings by the way . I hate vpl and always wear thongs , I think big knickers cut your bum in half and you get a 4 boob effect on it .

Confused Only if you’re wearing them too small!

sportyfool · 28/03/2018 10:13

They aren't too small , I do have a curvy bum though . I go the gym 5 days a week and always see bums cut into 4 🤷‍♀️

peonylover22 · 28/03/2018 10:47

Try intimissimi. The Brazilian style panties are also excellent for avoiding a VPL situation.

CurlyhairedAssassin · 28/03/2018 13:54

Hygiene reasons?! A thong goes right up your crack? It’s like tooth floss for poo crumbs.Grin

CurlyhairedAssassin · 28/03/2018 13:58

Look at this one. I want to say i’m Clutching my pearls looking at that but well, looks like she is doing enough pearl clutching for both of us!

Chanelprincess · 28/03/2018 13:59

I noticed this a while back. I certainly won't be wearing hideous big pants before the age of 90 - they look terrible on everyone.

HuskyMcClusky · 28/03/2018 14:06

What are you calling ‘big pants’ - anything that’s not a thong?

HuskyMcClusky · 28/03/2018 14:08

Because if so, I totally disagree - bikini-style knickers look better on 90% of people than thongs!

DairyisClosed · 28/03/2018 14:09

They don't need to now that they have perfected their seamless pants.

theredjellybean · 28/03/2018 14:37

But dairy what about the ones of us that want lacey, pretty patterned knickers to match our bras... And don't want plain pants in nude, black or white

Becauseimworthit79 · 28/03/2018 18:12

There are plenty of styles that neither resemble granny pants nor give you quad butt. Silk French knickers for example.

Wear what you want. I’ve experimented with thongs back in the 90s and they’re not for me. Also, I am not convinced they don’t give VPL. There was a girl at uni who looked amazing in her super, figure hugging ball dress, but I could see her thong line.

I suppose if you don’t want to buy multipack from M and S, then you’d have to buy in sets or go somewhere like Topshop that do pretty thongs.

keiratwiceknightly · 30/03/2018 07:39

Thongs are not for me-I find em uncomfortable. I like Harvest Festival pants - all is safely gathered in. However if you are a thong person I recommend a browse in the knicker bit of Tkmaxx - always have some in.

JuneFromBethesda · 30/03/2018 07:51

Harvest Festivalpants - all is safely gathered in Grin

Like Husky I genuinely don’t understand how thongs can be comfortable to wear. They’re designed so that a strip of material is worn in between your bum cheeks - how can that be comfy (or hygienic??)

bimbobrains · 30/03/2018 07:52

OP are you anywhere near a branch of Boundary Mill? They had some lovely thongs when I was last in there, lovely matching sets too.

Stormblessed · 30/03/2018 08:01

I buy mine from Boux Avenue, mostly in the sales. The quality has been good so far so don't mind paying a bit more.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/03/2018 18:18

DD wears Victoria Secret Pink knickers including thongs . Even their regular knickers are no VPL , I think it's the lack of seams and hems?

runningdoll · 30/03/2018 18:55

My bum is in the 10% that looks better in a thong, I think it's to do with the shape of your bum.

I'm also a fan of the French knicker with skirts.
