Makeup in hand luggage?

Do I need to put eyeshadow palette in clear 20 x 20 sealable bag or can it just be put in small case?

It's liquids gels and pastes so powdered products don't need to go in the clear liquids bag

Lipstick doesn’t need to go in the bag either. Balms and glosses do but not traditional lipstick.
