Boots like the Red or Dead Mountain boots?

I love these Red or Dead Mountain boots...

I have horrid ankles and calves, and something about the ankle height and width just works in a way that no other ankle boot has ever worked for me.

But...

I had a black pair that lasted me a good two years. Last autumn I got a brown pair and the zips gave up after about a month. I got a replacement, and the zips on these gave up this morning, about four months after getting them Sad

Does anyone know of an alternative that wouldn't need replacing so often? I can't really spend £80 on replacing my boots so often!

Oh, my feet are wide too, so narrow fitting boots don't work for me Sad

Are you set on them being leather? If not the Rocket dog “satire” are very similar and have no zip to break. I wear mine a lot and they last pretty well especially for a synthetic boot. You may find you need to size up

A few of Hudson's boots have a similar heel and are better quality. Some styles come up reasonably wide. There are some in the sale so not outrageously expensive.

Thanks all. I've ordered some Rocket Dogs - see how they work out. I just love my RorD mountain boots Sad

I've got your legs - Moda In Pelle do a boot called Besti in lots of colours - they are very flattering and last for ever...

Oh, sparta they look great - thanks!

I’m the same - superdry Dallas boots work for me - I just use a suede protector on them.

Another vote here for the Rocket Dog boots - they're very comfy. By amazing fortune I got an unworn pair for six quid in a charity shop!
