Just that, I have bought them but my mum hates them!

I love them!

LikeARedBalloon · 25/03/2018 17:54

Depends what they look like on you 😁

Sparkletastic · 25/03/2018 17:55

Dunno. Bit Mrs Overall. Lol at 'Bummi'

UnimaginativeUsername · 25/03/2018 17:56

I think they’re nice.

I love that the brand is bummi though, because I’m clearly not a proper grown up.

Chewbecca · 25/03/2018 17:59

Brand is Moscotm model is Bummi. Odd?!
Can't bring myself to put a pic of me on here, you're right though, that is what matters.
I have a round face.

I love the shape but agree that it depends on how they look on. I don't think the paler shade would look good against my pasty face.

ScreamingValenta · 25/03/2018 18:22

Impossible to say without seeing them on; however design-wise they are certainly bang on trend.

tappitytaptap · 25/03/2018 20:10

I love the colour. I have a pair this shade and am very pale with dark hair and I think this shade looks good. Some of the darker ones are too harsh against my skin.

Maverick66 · 26/03/2018 09:49

I love them

Floisme · 26/03/2018 10:05

I've got some like that, except mine have a bit more of a cats eye shape - i.e. narrower and a higher lift in the top corner, plus they're all grey, no fade.

So obvs I really like them. I think it's a good shape for a round face and grey is a reasonably neutral colour and not as harsh as black. The only thing I'm not sure about is the two-tone.

TomRavenscroft · 26/03/2018 10:10

They're nice, but it does all depend on what they look like on.

Can you get to an optician? They look at people in glasses all day and IME are very good at telling you what does and doesn't suit you, and suggesting pairs that you might not have thought of that turn out to be perfect.

goose1964 · 26/03/2018 13:17

It depends on the shape of your face and your colouring. I'm wondering if your mum is comparing them to the old NHS glasses. It is reminiscent of them but not exactly the same

Teaandcake08 · 26/03/2018 19:43

They are gorgeous frames! I’ve worked in optics for years and moscot are a brilliant brand-funny frame names are a bonus lol :) bang on trend, obviously we can’t tell if they suit your frame shape but sometimes people put frames on that are against all the ‘rules’ and they look amazing, as long as you like them and feel comfortable in them that is the main thing. And previous poster who mentions Mum likening then to old nhs frames is probs spot on, a lot of customers think some of the really current frames remind them of old nhs ones and won’t be seen dead in them! Xx

Chewbecca · 26/03/2018 19:58

Thanks! I am more confident on the colour than the shape in some ways, I'm brunette, tending towards pinkness in the skin (deep summer in HoC), I think the colours are good. Heavy black and tortoiseshell don't suit me, blue/navy, burgundy, grey suits me.

You're right, my mum may well be thinking old NHS style.

I’d wear them. I like grey glasses and there are very few about.

JesusTapdancingChrist · 26/03/2018 20:02

Love them.

Very similar to mine as per pic which are Kylie for Specsavers. Interestingly my mother hates mine too 😂.
