Can I have opinions on a wedding outfit please?

My everyday style is super casual - jeans with jumpers/t-shirts - so I'm not great with more dressy styles. I need a dress to wear for a wedding in June and am driving myself mad looking for one that I like so would love to get some outside opinions please!

I quite like this dress www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-dresses/smart-day-dresses/w0111-blu/womens-blues-bouquet-large-retro-pocket-dress

I'm 32, size 12/14 and petite (5ft) would this too frumpy/ be too ageing? Also the bridesmaids will be in navy so would it better to stay away from any blue?

Any other suggestions for where to look would be great if anyone can help with that too!

I think it's lovely, not frumpy at all.
I like Phase Eight dresses, you could have a look there.

I think it’s nice. I always worry about florals being ageing, but I don’t think that is. I prefer the other one over the blue.

Have you tried Anthropologie or Hobbs?

Clarich007 · 25/03/2018 16:31

No, I think it's lovely, a gorgeous clear blue.

It's pretty.

Also you could try phase eight, monsoon or even Lipsy

It’s a lovely dress and definitely not aging, i think it would be perfect for a summer wedding!

I recently bought this one in John Lewis, lovely fit and really comfy.. AND it has pockets! Smile

Thank you! Think I'll order it and see what it looks like on. Some lovely dresses in Phase Eight but not petite unfortunately so not sure if the length would be right.

Bablo I was excited it had pockets too Grin

Sorry I think it's quite old fashioned, you could wear something much more on trend at 32!

DextroDependant · 25/03/2018 20:12

I don't think it's appropriate for a wedding, it has white on.

I am just kidding but someone always says that.

It's a lovely dress OP perfect for a wedding.

Minus1 · 25/03/2018 20:13

Yes I agree with op. It’s nothing special and the style is a bit ordinary for a wedding. It’s more of an every day dress. I wouldn’t wear it and I’m in my 50s.

Minus1 · 25/03/2018 20:14

Pp sorry

I think it's nice and wedding appropriate and of course Boden does it in petite which is such an advantage. Anthropologie also do a small petite range, as does Coast (I've only seen it on the website though) and ASOS have a big petite range. Debenhams seem to have a big range and are using a real sized model (size 10!!) amazingly which is fab.
