Tell me what keeps your skin matte?

I am an oily girl and I’m really sick of having to blot my face with tissues every 2 hours and pat a tonne of powder on. Can anyone recommend a good primer or mattifying foundation?

Benefit primer is good. I wear it without foundation most days.

Best matte foundation ive used is the loreal infallable matte with the matching primer. It keeps me oil free for hours. But i dont need it much anymore since i have started using oil on my face on the nights. Sound mad but its made the world of difference.

Lightest possible foundation, on cheeks, or none and a fluff of translucent powder.

Seconding facial oil - I use rosehip at night and it's really balanced my daytime oiliness.

Yes oil at night really helps my oily skin too. I also noticed a massive improvement with Simple oil balancing moisturiser and The Ordinary Niacinamide and Zinc serum on my T zone. I never need to blot my skin during the day now!

I like that Instablur from the Body Shop. It's quite expensive, but I think 40% off just now.

I had tried everything and finally don't have to blot tip about 6 hours in- had to blot every 30 mins before - The Ordinary Niacinamide serum followed by Azeleic suspension- it's a thick paste like a primer - fills pores in and completely mattifies - game changer and not even marketed as a primer. I had tried tons of primers - smash ox, benefit, UD etc - this knocks them out of the water. Plus it helps with redness and texture as well so doing skin good as it mattifies.
