Gel toes with funny toe (Pics)

I get gel nails on my fingers and would like to get my toes done for the Summer. I have a funny toe, number 4 which is thicker and slightly discoloured. I actually saw a chiropodist who said that the nail had actually died and there was nothing that could be done with it but that it wasn't infectious.

If you were a beauty therapist would you do my toes? I would be mortified to go and then them not do them. Do I just have to put up with my own amateur attempts at painting them. Sorry for the not very pleasant photos. Thanks.

The nail looks like it has a fungal infection. The GP can presribe tablets but you need regular blood tests whilst on them as they can affect your liver (think it’s liver). You can get some topical treatments too but not as effective. Takes ages to treat as nail needs to grow out.

Anyway, I have two of the blighters and my beauticians had no problem doing gel polish for me.

I would buy my own gel polish but I’m very funny about feet!!

Yes it looks like a fungal nail infection to me too. I had this and took the tablets. I wouldn't ask a beauty therapist to use their stuff on its whilst it's not been treated. Fungal infections can spread, I was told not to share nail clippers with family etc.
