Treads shoes - worth it?

Looking to buy a pair of school shoes for my eight year old. I found this website through google shopping - www.treads-shoes.com. Has anyone come across these before? The price is good and they give a 12 month guarantee but I'm loathe to spend money I don't really have on an experiment! Smile

Ive just bought a pair for my DS as they come with a 12 month guarantee. They look well made and so far so good. I guess time will tell. Watch this space

I went ahead and bought a pair for my DS too, arrived on Tuesday and very impressed so far. Let's wait and see how they're looking by the summer holidays, but it would be great if this solves countless pairs of shoes each year!

I'm definately going to have a look at these, I've got 6 boys who constantly need new school shoes

6 boys! I've got 1 DS and 2 DGs and I think if I had any more, I'd have a nervous breakdown.

Whoops! I meant DDs, not DGs. This is all very new to me :)

@havenmummy @cropshe how have the treads shoes fared? Just saw an ad on facebook for these and it seems worth a try given they do free returns...

I’d be interested to know how they’ve held up too.
My 10yo boy destroys shoes so quickly Sad

They're great! I was so sceptical at the beginning, but I'm impressed. Not much scuffing, the soles are still good and they're holding together perfectly well. DS played football in them most days before the hols so they've stood up to a bit of a battering. I need to buy another pair for this term though, typically DS has had a growth spurt and his old ones are a bit tight.
