Anyone done Invisalign?

Been to the dentist today, he's suggested Invisalign at a potential cost of £3k Shock. I've had a look at their website and FB page and there's a lot of comments about how uncomfortable/painful it is, how long it takes etc.

Anyone here done it and can you recommend it?
TIA

It was uncomfortable for the first 3 days but now I feel weirder without them in. I'm on tray number 10 of 38. Brushing teeth after eating is a bit of a faff but you get used to it quickly

I had an ordinary metal brace as a teen and then Invisalign in my 40s and the metal brace was far more painful than the trays. I don't remember any discomfort exept for the oddness of having the sides of my teeth trimmed.
I had the little knots on two of my teeth (can't remember what they're called but they're like little studs) and I sometimes caught my lip on them when eating. But part of the reason for a brace was because I bit my lip a lot when eating and straightening my teeth stopped that.

Luckily I probably won't need attachments - they can be uncomfortable. It's great when people don't notice the invisalient but say your teeth look better! I'm having whitening gel art the end as well, it's included in the package.

Just don’t know if I can justify the cost. I need a bit of restoration work too which the dentist reckons will get a better outcome if I have the straightening treatment first. Thing is, my teeth look ok but they’re fragile.

Maybe get a second opinion? Gum strength is a factor when teeth are moving around... a good orthodontist will give an honest opinion, one I saw an Ted to remove a healthy tooth so I moved on to another clinic. 0% finance is sometimes available. Look for a diamond rated invisalign practitioner.

Not Ted. One who wanted to remove a tooth.

I had Invisalign a few years ago. It was painful for the first week or so. After that it was fine - a bit of discomfort every time you switch to a new tray, but not too bad. Really glad I did it. Worth every penny.

I'm going to get a second opinion, mainly because cosmetically the benefit isn't massive. Also, I want a new bathroom Wink.
