Just wanted to share my personal experience of doing a low carb high fat diet since beginning of Jan and what it's done for me. Firstly my skin on my face is glowing and is much softer and face feels plumped up, skin on my arms also feels softer. My eyes look brighter, partly cos of all the water I'm drinking. I'm an apple shape so my weight mainly goes on my tum, I've lost 4 inches from my tum which is much less bloated. I can wear the clothes I haven't worn for ages ( lived in hope that one day I'd slim down again!)

I've gone from 11 stone 12 to 10 stone 8, don't feel hungry and have loads more energy! I know it's quite a controversial diet and that we have always been told that fat is bad for you but tbh it's a pretty natural and nutritious diet compared to the amount of crap many of us eat. ( me included). And you can still eat chocolate! 😀

Snap! I have been eating LCHF since October. My nails were always bitten/picked off because they were brittle and thin. I'm now the proud owner of thick, strong nails for the first time in my life (I dread to think what nutrients I was missing all those years). Because I initially lost 11lbs in 7 weeks, I thought my face suffered, but it has settled down now and the skin looks plump and bright. My sleep also improved dramatically. I love the food. My favourite meal is fresh salmon fried in coconut oil with celeriac dauphinioise. Square of dark choc or berries and cream for dessert. Yum!
I also like that I switched to mint and green tea in order to meet the 2.5l per day water requirement. I don't drink normal tea now and my teeth are less stained.
My joints feel better too. I eat more veg than I ever did, so know there will be long term benefits than I can see.
