I don’t want to wear spanx every time I wear a skirt but my thighs rub. Any solutions?

There's a woman on Facebook called something like crease Free clothes. She makes the most amazing shorts that fixed my thigh chafing.

QuestionableMouse · 20/03/2018 10:31

There are bands you can buy. I can't remember the name sorry.

Ollivander84 · 20/03/2018 10:33

Big bloomers company anti chafing shorts. V lightweight

fishonabicycle · 20/03/2018 10:44

Isn't there some.sort of.lube ?

ChilliCheeseMama · 20/03/2018 10:45

Honestly buy a cheap roll on deodorant and absolutely smear the area that chafes in it, it is literally a godsend I promise you, and you can reapply it whenever if you stick it in your bag :)

Shalva1970 · 20/03/2018 10:46

Thanks! That was easy. *pants not langs

  1. Sloggi long leg briefs. The holy grail as they are cotton, don't roll up and don't make you sweat.
  2. Antiperspirant. I find letting it dry then following with a dusting of baby powder makes it last longer
  3. Athletic lube. Wiggle does a good one. I find this wears off pretty quickly in hot climates though, you'll need to carry it with you at all times.
  4. Anti Chafing shorts. I find most brands are nylon and roll up. If you can find a pair that fit, good luck.
  5. Bandalettes. Basically elasticated bands that sit at the top of your thighs. Fine if you can find a pair stay in the place you need them to. I've tried them all and haven't found one yet.

Body Glide stick! It’s amazing. It’s designed for cyclers but obviously works for everyone. It’s like a stick deodorant than you rub wherever chafes. I got through a whole stick last summer and recommended it to everyone else.

Thank you for asking this! It is unlikely I will have a thigh gap before holiday and had been wondering what I could wear instead of leggings.

peoplearepeople · 20/03/2018 11:06

My DH gets this a lot and has found that Liquid Talc makes a huge difference. Smile

picklemepopcorn · 20/03/2018 11:21

Coulotte petticoat. So cool and comfy.

AnneWiddecombesHandbag · 20/03/2018 11:26

Sure max protection deodorant. Only need to apply once. Lasts all day.

BrennieGirl · 20/03/2018 11:28

I second Sloggi long leg briefs especially in hot countries.

elQuintoConyo · 20/03/2018 11:30

Placemarking to scribble copious brand names down later!

sanitygirl · 20/03/2018 12:32

Sloggi long leg briefs are fantastic for this lingerieoutletstore.co.uk/basic-long-briefs-knickers/

Odiepants · 20/03/2018 13:29

The Big Bloomers anti chaffing shorts are great - keep you cool and stay put. I wore them last year under dresses on a very hot, humid holiday and had no chaffing and wasn't hot and sweaty.

Toomanycats99 · 20/03/2018 14:31

Evans do comfort shorts.

ItsAllDoomAndGloom · 20/03/2018 15:53

Also found Body Glide very good, wasn't keen on Bandalettes.

KaliforniaDreamz · 20/03/2018 15:59

skimmies i think - like spanx style shorts but comfy

OliviaBenson · 20/03/2018 16:02

Body glide- think I got it from amazon. Magic stuff that sorted me out, even wear it abroad when I'm extra hot and sweaty Blush

nothingwittyhere · 20/03/2018 18:48

Cullotte petticoat from m&s is great for this.

goose1964 · 20/03/2018 21:08

I use Palmer's cocoa butter body lotion, it keeps the skin moisturised so it doesn't rub

Haffiana · 20/03/2018 21:27

At a pinch, cut the legs off a pair of tights. Leave enough to make long shorts.
