Are these trainers nice or naff??

Coming up to winter here (Aus). Puma suede trainers with 100% leather upper. They also come with normal laces that can be swapped out.

I’m not much of a trainery person and don’t trust my own judgement!

The ribbons make them hideous, but they'd be inoffensive/bland with normal laces...although the huge eyelets would then look odd, imho.

They are okay if you have the rest of outfit that goes with them. Not for everyday use. Did you see Selena Gomez campaign for Puma when she wears the blush colour shoes similar to this. Looked good. So if you have the style to carry them off I think they are cool but they are definitely a lifestyle shoe and not a true trainer.

I've just bought a pair of Axel Arigato. Try a pair of those or stan smith's

I think they are very cute on kids but wouldn't wear them as an adult

I don't like them but they are quite popular with younger adults.

Value, they’re lovely but I tend to get white shoes so filthy

Love the Alex trainers but circa $300aud is maybe a bit of an extravagance for some who is a self admittedly - not into trainers !

Yeah I like them too and I'd wear them though I am middle aged! In the first colour though not the pink.

@HuskyMcClusky I know you said no white, but you can keep these clean with baby wipes and remove the laces when they get a bit grubby - plus they are not the usual cons/stans. I love a white runner !
