I’ve got a warm snuggly parka, but nothing for spring. —expect for a very unstylish waterproof—

Tell me what you’ve got your eye on please! I need inspiration! 😄

Bumping! I've done down 2 dress sizes and need some inspiration for a new spring coat!

CountFosco · 20/03/2018 17:06

I've got a biker and a denim jacket which are my spring summer staples. Wondering about a khaki shacket but I really need something a bit smarter for work, I quite fancy a Chanel stylee boucle jacket but not sure the boxy style will suit me. Also like the idea of a blazer but haven't seen 'the one' yet.

I have a biker jacket in black leather from River Island.

It came out for a few days last week before the down jacket went on again.

Hopefully it'll get more than 3 days wear before summer. Confused

They have faux suede ones there in really nice colours too. I'm caught by them every time I go past....

I’ve got broad shoulders, although I’m pretty slim. I sort of feel too butch iyswim in a biker jacket or denim jacket. I like the idea of them but gave up looking years ago.

I've got this - it's lovely with jeans and skirts - a bit biker but nice weighty cotton. Mint Velvet have got some lovely Spring jackets.

I got a twill cotton parka from H&M (I do cover proper parkas but I think they'd be too warm for me )

Got a 25% off a one-off order too Grin

Safari jackets are on trend this year op?

MrsJamin · 20/03/2018 20:00

It still feels very much like winter, don't know where all of you live, I'm still in scarf hat and done-up winter coat!

goose1964 · 20/03/2018 21:03

I'm still in winter coats, I'm going to get my blue striped blazer of the top of the wardrobe and work out how to clean it

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 20/03/2018 21:35

I'm still in my winter coat too, my new parka is hanging in the wardrobe waiting.

The past couple of winters I've sailed about in a jumper while everyone else is in thick coats. I've been bally freezing this winter.
So either its cold or my inner furnace (menopause) has switched itself off?

Judydreamsofhorses · 20/03/2018 22:33

Winter coats here, but last week I wore my leather biker (black, Whistles) and froze. I tend to wear it a lot until it’s denim jacket weather (indigo, Topshop) and I also have a fisherman’s mac with a hood (bright yellow, Warehouse). I would also like one of those khaki “shacket” type things, although the word sets my teeth on edge.

user1489792710 · 20/03/2018 22:56

Bought a khaki shacket thingy from F and F clothing (Tesco) after seeing it on an instagram. It looks quite nice on but haven't worn it out yet because it's brrrr... freezing here. Also got a yellow thin quilted type jacket from Next. My other staples are suede jacket and leather biker from Mango.

AnnabelleLecter · 20/03/2018 23:18

Cant imagine wearing a thin jacket for ages.
I wore my aviator jacket a couple of days last week then it was back to the winter coat plus sheepskin gloves, scarf and hat.

PNGirl · 21/03/2018 07:17

I bought the attached camouflage jacket from Tesco last year and I have 2 AllSaints leather jackets but it's -1 this morning so my big Diesel parka it is!

I like that camouflage jacket! Which has made me think of the ones that I coveted as a student.

Camo jackets with patches/ embroidery on them. That’s what I want! The jacket I couldn’t afford as a student! 😂

What is a ‘shacket’?

Sweetheart · 22/03/2018 16:22

I'mm off for a girls weekend away to Spain in a few weeks and need a light casual jacket for the chilly evenings. I haven't seen anything as yet so will watch here with interest.

I do have a denim jacket if all else fails but I need something i can also wear with jeans and not keep on the double denim look on me.

PNGirl · 22/03/2018 16:28

A shacket is a thick shirt, or a thin jacket, usually with buttons rather than a zip. It's probably best described as something you'd wear as outerwear on a warmish day if you don't like a cardigan.
