Please advise on a good foundation?

I've been using Double Wear (the heavy, full coverage one) for about 5/6 years. Never changed it because no other foundation stays put as long and matches my skin tone eel (I'm olive skinned and very yellow undertones).

Would Double Wear light work for me? What's the difference between the two?

I've also heard Nars sheer glow crop up on lots of MN beauty threads. Is it any good?

I'm not too keen on a matte finish, I want something dewy and fresh but still with good coverage that lasts pretty much all day like DW

Thank you Thanks

Hi, I’ve never used EL double wear so can’t comment but I’m a big fan of Bobbi Brown. I discovered them back in November & love everything I’ve bought so far. I use their foundation stick (with their brush) which I love. They also have a new foundation out called Skin long-wear weightless foundation which is wonderful. You can get a free sample to try from any of their counters. I’m 46 & wish I’d discovered BB years ago. Happy shopping 😀

I just bought some bare minerals on QVC and I quite like that.

The new NARS Radiant Matte is supposed to be lovely and a really natural finish dispute the name.

I have used a sample of the new YSL All in One Glow and love it. Buildable coverage, dewy, cooling feel and lightweight.

Currently using Bare Minerals Bare Pro liquid and love it. Not really Dewey but not matte either.

I didn't like the doublewear light. It was too light. I quite like the Estée Lauder one in a stick with the sponge at the end but it doesn't last all day. I wear revlon colourstay for work. It's quite long lasting and a lot lighter in texture. Sometimes I mix it with the doublewear if I want a slightly more made up day time look. But tbh nothing comes close to doublewear. It is the best foundation ever.

Forgot to say, I mix an illuminating cream with the doublewear to make it appear dewy.

Double wear light is a creamier formula and has far fewer shades. It lasts but not so much as double wear. I also Found that the tube of dwl doesn't last So long as the dw. Dwl can also make me look a bit "pore-y."
I'm now back on dw but apply thinly with a brush... Seems to do the trick ☺️
