Depends on the type of party. The silver is stunning, so for a big party I’d go for that, but something more low key I’d go navy. Unless you are naturally very confident in the face of attention!

I think it depends on your colouring and which colours you suit best. Personally I would wear the navy. I wear it all the time as a slimming and more flattering version of black so if seems to be my go-to colour at the moment and I suit the colour. I would get more wear out of the navy and we very rarely go out so I could try and dress it down. Also I am extremely pale and clumsy so would probably spill something on the paler dress. I wouldn’t worry about upstaging the birthday girl if you are confident with your shape, suit the colour, have got a some things coming up where you could maybe wear the paler colour again and aren’t a spiller go for that.

To be honest, I'm usually a blend into the background type of person, lots of black, navy or brown, but for once i just feel like wearing something different. So i've ordered the silver!

What colour shoes would you wear with it? normally i'd wear black, but how about red? or nude?

Good for you OP I wear navy so much for everyday it doesn’t feel special for a rare night out.
Unsure re: shoes maybe wait until the dress arrives. What about silver or maybe grey shoes?

I was going with blue shoes but can’t seem to find anything I like, there’s also not that much to choose from to be honest.
