Salt water sandals

Hey there.

I really want to get a pair of original saltwater sandals for holidays next month. I'm totally torn between red and the candy red. Does anyone know how the candy red wear with use as they are shiny/patent? Would I be better going for plain red as I plan to give them plenty of use?

Many thanks!!

Can't speak for the candy red but I had the normal red last year and basically lived in them every day. Cannot wait for the warm weather to start wearing them again!
Got loads of compliments on them aswell.

I have red ones and find them too uncomfortable to wear. If you’re a size 4 you can have them.

I have patent yellow which I’ve worn all summer, every year for three. years. I’m going to get the red ones this summer as I think they’re a classic colour.

Flamingoringo · 18/03/2018 22:10

The patent has worn really well, and I can still wear.

Has anyone seen any codes knocking about please?

Prettyfair · 18/03/2018 22:38

Aww thanks everyone for your help. Think I'll go for the candy red seeing as they wear well. Thanks so much Judydreamsofhorses but I've got big feet lol. Thanks again everyone xx

Are they ok for wide feet?
Would love a pair but unsure of the width

@Judydreamsofhorses I’m a 4, I’d be interested if you’re selling! Pm if you like

I have candy red and they're just fine

Also have tan and rose gold - very comfy

Does anyone find they rub here? I don't have a pair yet but I've seen them quite snug in this area on a few people.

I have a navy pair, worn almost everyday last summer and still look like new.
No rubbing problems. I have arthritic big toes (hallux rigidus) and also very tiny "little toes" and the saltwaters are great for keeping all toeage in!

I've got wide feet and I haven't had any problems with my Saltwaters at all. I've been amazed at how comfortable they are for me, and I live in them every summer.

When you first get them, there are instructions telling you to use your thumbs and fingers in a certain way to stretch the leather slightly, before wearing. And it says that if you get any blisters or rubbing pains, to immerse your foot (with the sandal on) into water and then wear them until they dry.

I haven't had to do this myself, but hopefully it would be a good way to get them to mound to your shape if you do have any rubbing.

Can't recommend them enough!

Ah maybe they haven't don't that then. Thanks.

I have wide feet and haven't had any trouble with my saltwaters rubbing.
