Advice re translucent front teeth

My front teeth have always been slightly translucent at the bottom though in recent years this seems to have worsened. Has anyone had treatment for this and were you happy with the results?

Do you use a mouth guard? I have this where my teeth have worn away a bit.

One of my ds’s had this, his own fault for drinking fizzy drinks daily once he got to secondary school. It was just at the very bottom of the tooth and the dentist smoothed it off with some kind of tool but no idea what.

No I don’t have a mouth guard. I’ve had this since a child even though I’ve never really had fizzy drinks/sugary drinks. Think I’m just unlucky.
