The best moisturiser with SPF?

I typically use Garnier Ultra Lift but I fancy a change. I don’t want to use a separate SPF. Can anyone recommend any good day moisturisers they’re using?

Its pointless having one with spf included, may as well not bother!

MCSpammer · 15/03/2018 22:39

Why pointless?

FrustratedDotCom · 15/03/2018 22:46

I wouldn’t say it’s pointless; I know that a moisturiser with 30 SPF isn’t going to give me as much cover as a pure 30 SPF, but having two separate products doesn’t work for me.

You could just use a sunscreen instead of a moisturiser? I layer mine, moisturiser first, SPF after as I have very dry skin, but if you haven't something like Boots Soltan SPF30 which I use would be good on its own.

tigerbasil · 15/03/2018 22:51

Most people won't use the amount needed to get to the spf factor advertised (it's a lot) and a lot of them only cover uvb

FrustratedDotCom · 15/03/2018 23:04

Ok, never mind

Gosh, when did protect and perfect get so expensive?!

@FrustratedDotCom I used Lancôme Hydra Zen which has spf 15 in. Sinks in really well and gives a good base for make up. Smells lovely too. I personally wouldn't use just something like boots soltan as I know it would clog my skin so this suits me.

usercantsleep · 16/03/2018 07:55

Oil of Olay total effects
Only spf 15 though I think

FrustratedDotCom · 17/03/2018 19:52

Thank you for those recommendations, I'll check them out!

I find Ultrasun antipigmentation works well as moisturiser and suncream, factor 50

snowplop · 17/03/2018 20:38

I really like Paula's Choice range of moisturisers with spf. I'm using the Ultra Light spf30 at the moment and I'm fairly sure it's UVA as well as UVB. For a stand alone spf my choice is Biore Watery Essence which I buy on Amazon.

MagnetarMum · 29/03/2018 16:24

I use and really like Cerave A.M moisturiser with SPF 30. I also use the PM version at night (same stuff, no SPF). It includes 3 essential ceramides and hyaluronic acid and is fragrance free. Available from Amazon (and probs elsewhere, not sure).

I like Simple hydrating with f30. I’ll find a link - www.boots.com/beauty/facial-skincare/moisturiser/simple-kind-to-skin-plus-moisture-cream-spf30-protecting-50ml-10164560

SlipperyLizard · 29/03/2018 20:30

Body shop skin defence has spf 50, last year I sat out and had this on my face but nothing elsewhere. I got burned arms and chest, but my face was still as pale as ever!

CheesePleaseLoueese · 29/03/2018 20:33

Whoops, no it's SPF50 not 30!

LockedOutOfMN · 29/03/2018 20:37

I use the La Roche-Posay stick SPF 50. There's a brand that makes a similar stick (ISDN? the packaging is a metallic light blue-grey) which is lightly tinted and comes with a brush to blend. I've used that before when the La Roche Posay one is out of stock and it's very simple to use and effective.

titsbumfannythelot · 29/03/2018 21:19

I agree with @SlipperyLizard I use the body shop spf as a moisturiser and really rate it.

TacoFlavouredKisses · 29/03/2018 21:52

The Simple SPF30 linked above is fantastic.
