Mascara that just tints lashes?

I’m looking for a mascara that just adds colour to eyelashes, without adding any other coat.

I’ve used a tint a couple of times, but I get so scared I’m going to slip and blind myself and I don’t have much time to go to salons regularly. But I hate the hard coat you get from mascara, and removing it is quite rough on my eyelids.

I have dark hair and eyebrows, but quite fair lashes so my eyes look bald in comparison 😕.

I like Benefit eyelash primer - it is a coat I suppose, but not as much as mascara. You're supposed to wear it underneath mascara but I wear it on its own.

Boots Number 7 mascara for sensitive eyes (silver tube).
Colours but doesn't add any bulk.
