Boden Ruched skirt vs Hush Ruched Skirt

Does anyone have both the Boden and Hush ruched skirts. I have Boden one, and am looking at the Hush one as Boden don't seem to do them any more and it really is the most practical skirt for work.

I just wondered if they were very similar.

Hi Lemon I have both. They are similar but in my opinion the Boden one is better as it is longer (but can be hitched up for a shorter look) and so is more versatile.

Talisin · 15/03/2018 18:53

Very much the same in terms of quality and fit but the Hush one is significantly shorter.

Have you looked at Baukjen for skirts? I’m sure they have a ruched one and I love their jersey dresses.

ChimperRimper · 15/03/2018 19:33

I too have both and the Hush one is massively shorter so not as versatile as the Boden one and hasn’t washed as well. I wish Boden would stock this skirt again in more colours than just black.

Thanks for all of the comments The Hush one certainly looked shorter when I looked online. Chimper I would love it in more colours too.

PaperDoll I'll take a look at Baukjen

Kettlewell also do two, a long and a short.
Comes in lots of colours, and I find mine wash much better than my Hush ones.
The Baukjen one I have is also very nice, but only single layer (Kettlewell and Hush are double layer).

Seconding the Baukjen rec, I am wearing mine today and I am 20 weeks pregnant Grin it's been a great buy. It's not too short and I am 5'6. Good to know about Kettlewell too!

nickEcave · 16/03/2018 11:38

The Kettlewell ones are really nice and currently half price in their sale!

Lidlfix · 16/03/2018 20:29

Thanks Nick that's a fig Kettlewell ordered to go along with my black and olive Hush skirts. Have a city break coming up they're perfect with Chelsea boots or Vanns. Equally wearable with jersey blazers and shoe boots for work Smile

LemonBreeland · 17/03/2018 11:26

I've ordered two Kettlewell skirts. I had never heard of them before.

I've got all four (I used to be a leading authority on ruched skirts) but should have only kept two.

The Hush one was probably the sturdiest, most forgiving fabric but way too short for me (and I'm only 5'3) and I should have sent it back. The Baukjen one was a better length but single layer only - should also have gone back.

Kettlewell and Boden aren't quite as sturdy as the Hush one and the Kettlewell one has bobbled a bit. But they're a much better length, unless you want way above the knee.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 17/03/2018 15:40

I love my Hush ones, but am a short arse and like a bit of leg. Off to look at Kettlewell now.
