Ethical occasion dress!

I have a big occasion coming up and would like a new dress. I am a size 10 to 12 apple, but empire dresses and wrap dresses both look horrendous on me. I’d really like to buy something ethically made that I can wear for years, but the fashion at the moment seems to be lots of fuss and bows round the belly? Which is a nightmare for me.

Any advice? And any idea where to look other than thought and people tree?

Perhaps Seasalt. Not sure of all their credentials, but I definitely like their use of 'plus size' models. Possibly not smart enough though. You could also try a charity shop - I've bought smart dresses in them over the years.

Katya wildman? Dresses may be made in UK

Wow, I love Katya Wildman. But I don't know whether I would look any good in those dresses. ... off to google pictures of people wearing them.

and I actually love Sea Salt, too! Hadn't thought of them. There's a shop near me so I can go and try them on. thanks!
